351 Oceanridge Parkway, SW, Ocean Isle Beach , NC
Named By Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 10 New Public Courses in America for 2007, Leopard’s Chase Golf Club at Ocean Ridge Plantation is the fourth Big Cat in the family of felines.
This par 72 course designed by Tim Cate is as scenic as it is enjoyable to play. You will encounter forced carries, some generous landing areas and dramatic elevation changes. As you travel the 18 holes, you will also notice a varied terrain accompanied by stunning natural vistas. The tee positions will accommodate all levels of play with equal risk and reward situations to allow you the best scoring opportunities. Save your delicate touch shots for the undulating greens. The waterfall along #18 green will calm and relax you as you finish your round.

This plce is fancy. With a little more time for the greens to soften up, it will be the best couse on the beach.

Played July 28, 2008: "For all the hype, we were disappointed in conditions for the price we paid."

Commented on August 15, 2008: "I played Leopard's Chase on July 27 and it was the best golf experience that I have had in along time. The course is beautiful and difficult. The staff was excellent. I can understand why they charge $150+ in the spring and fall.

Commented on November 22, 2008: "Played this not long after it opened and found it very difficult (off the back tees!) but another great course in the Ocean Plantation (played them all - Tigers Eye is our favorite). We would play this again."

Best of our week. Conditions, layout, maintenance. Sand, Sand, Sand - some firm, some powder. Long drive once inside complex. Give your self an extra 10 minutes from the gate on Rt. 17.

They should offer a food package with your green fee b/c if you don't bring your A game, Leopards Chase will eat your lunch! Greens were phenomenal when I played in the fall last year, but I've heard they are having real issues this year. I would double check with someone before spending the cash. The other Cat courses are in good shape - just played Lion's Paw last week (10/22/09).
