Really like the squirrels who came up to us, and the crows that stole a Cliff Bar out of the cart was too funny. We had a hard time on the fairways that were being aerated. The maintenance people are not very considerate of guests as they go flying by, and don't consider the noise they are making. No water fountain at the restroom and nobody out on the course offering drinks. The bathroom in the clubhouse is nice, but don't try to sit down on the toilet, you almost have to sit sideways. It was way to small for the average man. The last 2 holes are tough but challenging.

First time playing. Beautiful course, both in layout and foliage, very visually impressive. Staff very helpful and courteous. Last three holes maintain their reputation, though mainly due to yardage discrepancies. A laser range-finder or GPS could have helped.

Course was in pretty good shape, but pro in the clubhouse must have had a very bad childhood and can't get over it. He was a jerk and it seems from the other staff, he is just like that. All other staff were very nice, just beware of the "mad at life" pro. Still a nice course.

Eagle Nest was very challenging and exceptional in layout and beauty. The course was well manicured and truly a pleasure to play. We were greeted by the starters by name and the pro shop staff are really good. The course was the highlight of the trip.

The words "Eagles Nest is kept in excellent condition at all times" is not accurate for the day that we played the course. The tees, fairways and greens needed a lot of "tlc".

Course was in great shape. Thunderstorm night before play, but course took water well. Played lift and place, but for most part you could just roll ball over with club & you were good to go! A couple of tees on backside needed work, burnt out & bare. 17th was my favorite, longer par 5 with water to carry front of green, very scenic & fun to play! Take your GPS, tough to find this place.

Could only play the back nine,front nine was closed. Back nine was just aerated and they were doing the back nine. Had no prior knowledge of this. Had I known I would have not booked the round. Would not play this course again and would not suggest to anyone to play it. This was one of the worst golf experiences I have ever had. The gentleman in the pro shop told us that a notice about the course conditions was posted on the Internet. Why wasn't I informed when I made the reservations?

The course was just okay. It's similar to Possum Trot, Beachwood, Azalea Sands. I was expecting a little better but on the same level as those courses. When we called to make a tee time they made a point to say the course is in excellent condition. It wasn't. It was cart path only, standing water in fairways, lots of brown paths everywhere, greens were a little better. I was expecting better since they made a point to say it was excellent. They would have been better off saying nothing. There was not really a starter, it was just one bag drop guy who sorta was a starter. Nobody was there to tell the guy who hit 4 balls in a row in front of us to step off the first tee. The 3 finishing holes weren't too hard, easier than expected. The course is pretty open and forgiving. If you go left or right you just have to punch from under the pines. I wasn't blown away. I won't be going back for a while.
