The fairways were a little long; if they were cut down this course would be an awesome experience for all types of players. The staff was fantastic. I would recommend this course to many people."

Commented on January 12, 2009: "I played this course a couple of times in the past year. The green complexes are really different in that the areas around the green have the grass cut down. It is better to putt the ball when off the green than to chip it because they are cut so tight. Like Scotland. Different for Myrtle Beach."

Nice, well-maintained course. Starter and grounds staff were not particularly polite or accommodating. Had a 7:30 AM start time - starter had us begin on the back 9 and had significant bottle-neck on front 9. Took 3+ hours to complete the front 9. Will not likely play here again.,Nice, well-maintained course. Starter and grounds staff were not particularly polite or accommodating. Course that plays even longer than the yardage on the scorecard with its elevated greens and the wind off the Intracoastal. The players assistant on 8/27/09 was not very friendly and quite arrogant about the difficulty of the course. Verti-cutting on greens this large makes two-putting impossible!

Kevin, I own property in MB and have played Pine Lakes 6 or 7 times since they reopened. Everytime, I breese through the first 9 then have to wait 20 to 30mins to tee off on 10 and wait each and every shot thereafter...are they over booking? its not fun and as much as I like P.Lakes I want be back. I've discussed this with Pro Shop and they dont' seem to care handicap, 09/08/2009

Was not told by your golf coordinator that the greens were aerified. I found out later that Grande Dunes did not tell your golf coordinator about the condition of the greens as well as the fairways. This was not worth the money at all. Wish I wouldn't have traveled the twenty-five miles to go there.

Didn't like being hurried for our replay. They said we had to go to the tee. When we were on the course there was no one behind us or in front of us. That angered us.

Our group of 8 just finished playing here the Monday before Thanksgiving. The layout is terrific and the conditions were great but we won't be returning due to the fact that they don't have a pace of play policy or anyone with the backbone to enforce one. Our front 9 took almost 3 hours so while at the turn waiting for two groups to clear the 10th hole we went to the pro shop to inquire about the slow play. We were informed that there was one group that was holding up the other 9 foursomes that were playing the morning. When we asked why someone doesn't hurry this group along or move them back into position ( two things that are very common at the courses I play in Chicagoland) they replied that they didn't do that sort of thing. It's just a tough golf course. Not the right answer. When we completed our 6-hour round we went back to the pro shop to see if there was anyone in charge that we could speak to about our unpleasant round. No one in charge could be found or saw us coming and ran the other way. Thanks to their less than professional treatment of our group we won't have to worry about picking this course again. Congrats Grande Dunes you have just joined Tidewater as some of the worst pro shop staff in the country!

We thought this was the finest course we have ever had the opportunity to play. It was nicer than even the nicest courses we have played here in Michigan.

I could play Grande Dunes all week. What a class operation! We enjoyed a very reasonable breakfast in the grill, excellent range, we were surprised to find out we could leave the paths! Great drainage, awesome layout, a few holes play along the Intracoastal, great variety of holes and tees to play. Easily in the top 5 in M.B. in my humble opinion! Go play Grande Dunes!
