As one of the area's most requested courses Moorland challenges golfers with P.B. Dye's signature deep bunkers, multi-level greens, fairways, and bulkheads. From the heights of sculpted terrain to the depths of the bunkers the variety this course offers in scenery also makes it one of the most challenging on the East Coast. See for yourself why Golf Digest gave it 4.5 Stars!

6 hour round of golf (stunk; got stuck) behind a 5-some - not worth the money.

We arrived during a rainstorm but the upbeat attitude at the bag drop carried over into the clubhouse. The waitstaff at B'fast was great and the starter, Smokey, sent us off anxious to play. This was truly one of the best days we had in MB in 27 yrs.

Excellent condition as usual last week. I think the course could benefit from a tee box at 6300-6400 yards because the gap between 5800 and 6700 is too much. There is no way my partners could have handled 6700 so i played at 5800 in order to stay with them. It was a little short but still very nice. Conditions were A1, I still can't believe Moorland is not considered in rankings at least like the Barefoot courses. I played all of the top 30 public in MB and Moorland is a definite top 10.

First class service around the clubhouse and on the course. Beautiful setting. Had a little trouble finding the course as road signs seemed out of date.

This was a tough challenge, nice complement to the other courses. One of the three Legends courses had tee boxes that were not flat. I hate non-flat tee boxes.

The Good:Very good course. Greens in great shape, little on slow side. The Bad: 6-hour round. Staff allowed a 5-some to play in front of us at 9 a.m. Tee choices ... there should be a tee in the 6,200 - 6,400 range. The green plays 5,900 and the white plays 6,800 ... too big of a gap. This place is a golf factory. They only allow for 8 minutes between tee times. If you have an afternoon tee time ... bet on teeing off 35-50 minutes behind schedule ... and it will take 6 hours. They are offering great deals, with free breakfast, lunch, and booze ... that are being taking advantage for the most part by drunk out-of-towners on binges ... whole place has the feel of a 40-something fraternity party.

Enjoyed the Moorlands again. Tough track that requires precision on every shot. Very enjoyable, but not one I'd play every day (for handicap's sake), and slowest pace of play of the three at Legends. Greens were a little rough and bumpy all week, but that was the only disappointment. Through the green was in excellent condition. Starters were fantastic with our group all week long and very attentitive. Best practice area I've found at the beach, and pro shop and grill are fantastic.

I have played Moorland twice, may favorite course in the Carolinas. Tough, but fair. If your handicap is above 20, PLEASE play elsewhere.

Our morning round at Moorland was a disaster. Our (only time for 12 holes) replay at Parkland was enjoyable, but we will not return to Legends. The Moorland course is very difficult, and with tee times every 8 minutes and a discount for local golfers, the result was a packed course and a 5 1/2 hour round. Unacceptable for premium vacation golf, and especially frustrating when trying to get in 36 holes in November post-Daylight Savings Time.

The course is in fantastic condition. The layout is fair and fun! It appears that the architect designed it from green to tee. It is simply beautiful!

Superb condition in comparison to '06-'07, it is tough but I believe it has been a bit exaggerated over the years. In comparison to Pawleys Plantation and TPC played in the same week, I found Moorland easier.

Would have liked to had the opportunity to play the Parkland since it had not been aerated. Otherwise, both courses were in great shape for the time of year.

Staff was excellent. Cudos to the cart girl on 6-30-2009. Lots of blind shots and bumps in the fairway. Felt like I was in Ireland playing links golf without the seashore. Too tough for the ladies though, even from the forward tees.
