Played 07/17/10, and enjoyed it. We had played this course several years ago and had a good experience with it and thought we would start our trip here. It was a good idea, the course was in very good shape. The staff was very friendly (David) and accommodating. They have really grown the rough up and you will need to avoid it for it is tough to control a shot out of it. The course, greens, staff, and price ($28.00) were all very good. I recommend a play here.

This is a very good course for the price and a good one to start our trip with Thursday. We got the afternoon discount and paid $55. The course was is solid shape and had a nice layout. Lots of water but a lot of it really isn't in play. Not one of the top courses in the area but well worth playing for sure.

The sand straps were very inconsistent. Some were good with proper sand but others had a thin layer of soft sand with a very hard layer underneath making it quite unpredictable how to play a shot.

Nice course, challenging yet enjoyable. Only problem we had was that our play was rushed since it rained and they were cart paths only. The starter put a twosome behind us and then at number 9 said we need to pick up the pace even though we we took 2 Hr 25 mins to play. With cart paths only I feel that just under 5 hours to play would be acceptable. Great course management needs to pay attention of how they start groups on a cart only play.

I really liked the course. I did not enjoyed being rushed. At the turn my group was advised we where 20 minutes behind. The group ahead of us was part of the 16 men we came to the course with. The group behind us was part of the group, so being told to speed up made what had been a great day unpleasant. We had players with many different skill levels, so it made some in the groups feel rushed. You have a wonderful course, but please understand that in large groups there will be many levels of skills.

The fairways were in so so condition. This was the last course we played, and the only one cart path only. Even though we had not had rain for a couple days. Simply means the drainage is poor, so expect cart path only and wet fairways often. Of the 3 courses played, greens were in poor shape. They did not roll true. The tees were in poor shape, much worse than the other 3 coures we played. Additionally, the general condition was very unkept. For an 0830 tee time, the boxes were littered with cigerate butts and broken tees. Place looked second-rate. Not worth the money.

Challenging course with plenty of water. Not an easy course for older seniors but playable. We've played this course three years in a row and will most likely select another course next year for a change of pace. Maybe the Witch or Wizard?

Played last week, excellent warm-up course for the price paid. Wide fairways and very decent greens. Only disappointment: I could not believe that in November they would not offer 9 holes replay; only replay offered was 18 holes for $45 which we found to be expensive considering the fact that our full 18 cost $50.

Played 9/16/09 - in great shape, challenging, fun course to play with lots of water. The blonde starter was very considerate. Came and got us after 3 holes and put us on the back because of a large group of foursomes that were very slow. We had not complained, he was just watching out for the customers. Nice touch.

Played Man O' War in September 2008. I was in magnificent condition. The scenic view is breathtaking. It looked like an easy course but it was very challenging. I will play the course again just to enjoy the spectacular view and challenge.

The greens putted perfectly. I should've gotten the yardage book since the water comes into play on a few blind shots that you need to hit the correct yardage to ensure safety. I'll definitely play this course again as well as their sister courses.

From the outset, this coure appears to be easy to score on however I was scrambling all day. You can be agressive or play it safe and still have fun. Will come back and play it again for sure. All-in-all great value for the money.

Just a general comment on ALL the courses we played while in Myrtle Beach. We had several individuals that were not able to walk the courses due to different disabilities. NONE of the courses stated whether riding was NOT available due to overseeding, other than that we had a great time. Thank you.

Course was in excellent shape. Beautiful course. Conditons on this day were difficult. Morning temperature, 55 degrees F, windy all day with gusts to 30 mph. Would like to play again under better conditions. Greens rolled true, rough was sometimes severe but fair, fairways great conditon. A lot of water on the course, but does not come into play as much as it looked. Really enjoyed playing. We have played the Wizard and Man O' War is the superior course.
