With a canvas of Bermuda Fairways and Bentgrass Greens, the team of Ray Floyd and Tom Jackson have created a 27-hole masterpiece along the scenic Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach. Each nine-hole layout is unique, featuring uncommon elevations, hardwood wetlands and the most impeccable manicured holes in the area. Arrowhead was recently awarded SC's Golf Course of the Year (1998). Arrowhead is conveniently located five minutes from the Myrtle Beach International Airport. Great layout, played the Lakes & Waterway nines. Very playable, not real long, a shotmaker's course, so it made for a very enjoyable round. Excellent condition overall, the greens rolled beautifully. Will definitely play here again on the next trip.

Your biggest thing missing in your survey questions is "pace of play." In the afternoon at Arrowhead they shoved everyone out on the same 9, stuffed a ton of foursomes out there and the first 9 took 2 hrs. 45 min. Fortunately lots dropped off so I was able to finish 18 (barely in the dark) but the pace of play, lack of a ranger, and no apparent effort on the part of the course to do anything about it was frustrating.

Superb course in a fast-food environnment. The course is great but we had to wait 35 minutes between holes 9 and 10 and were sort of pushed to play fast on the front since we were the 7 :30 a.m. tee time. Clearly overbooked last Friday, it took us over 5 hours. Will not play there again on a busy time of the year.

Very nice course that was challenging but playable. Played on 11/13 after 2 days of Tropical Storm Ida rains and found the course in better than expected condition. Staff was welcoming and friendly and made a good first impression, although we only saw the beverage cart twice in 18 holes (second time at the 17th hole). Pace of play good, played Lakes and Waterway in 4 hr 20 min.

Just an average course. I've played quite a few courses in the area and would probably rate it in the "no surcharge" group of courses. They had the tees pushed way up it seemed and I hit irons off most of the tees. Some holes were crammed into surrounding condos/houses.

This was my first time to play here. The course conditions where great. The starter and bag attendent was extremely informative and a pleasure to work with. The greens on the Lakes course where great. The course was well marked and very enjoyable to play. This course will go on my must play list for future outings.
