Very nice, challenging course layout. Tees and fairways were in fine condition, the only drawback was the condition of the greens which left a lot to be desired. On a better note, our group was informed prior to tee time of the conditions and we were taken care of. Look forward to playing when it's all done.

First time there since the renovations - very friendly bag drop personnel, club house immaculate. Fairways and tees were good, but the greens, especially in places were very very poor, almost unplayable. The whole experience is spoiled by the greens.

This course was a huge disapointment. Greens were in bad shape with bare/dead spots, uneven mowing, the worst we played on during our entire trip. For all the glitz and glamor hype of this course it's not worth the $ at the current time.

They seem to be having trouble with the grass on the greens. With the separate gate for the members, it gives you the feel of being an outsider.

Pine Lakes was an awesome course, good for the average golfer. When you finish the 9th hole you can go into the clubhouse for the traditional chowder. We only had enough time for 9 extra holes and finished in the dark.

Course was great! Staff was great. We played this on our way out as a last-minute round and were told that they weren't in their peak condition due to overseeding of the greens. Everything rolled true and it was a great time. I will definitely make this a must-play on our group's list.

I think the course will be far better in another year or two, but right now there is a lot of bare areas that had turned to mud since it rained on Monday 2/22/10 and we played on Tuesday. We were very appreciative of the ease to change our tee time since we were scheduled to play on Monday.

The staff and attendants were exceptional, the course is not ready to be played yet. I was geatly dissappointed in the condition of the greens, and the fairways were fair at best. I boasted to my group how impressed they would be with the whole Granddaddy experience. We were all underwhelmed. And we all missed the chowder at the turn, going inside for a cup was not the same. Bring back the "Chowder Man."

Course is still maturing after renovation ... Beautiful clubhouse. Should space tee times a lttle farther apart. Many times had 3 or 4 groups on a hole. 5 1/2-hour rounds are brutal!! (3 hours front / 2 1/2 hours back). With new design (not as tight), there is no reason for play to be this slow. Very disappointing for all the nice changes to the facility. Hope they do not turn into "factory" golf & overbook tee times.

Weather (cold and wind) a big factor, but what a great course. I hadn't played there in 20 years, so we really appreciated the supplied layout book. Missed ol' Big Dog, but complimentary clam chowder was a treat.

The greens are awesome! I didn't like the fairways-it was difficult to cut irons into the tightly knit sod.(I like to take a divot.)

Very crowded conditions at tee off. This was based on design of course and supervisor suggesting that groups go off on front 9 first. Suggest having groups go off par 5 (#10) first to alleviate congestion and expedite play.

We were started at 7:50 a.m. on the 10th. Course was great. Made the turn at Number One to continue and we were told we had to wait 45 minutes before we could continue. This was unacceptable. They told us this was common at this course. I and my group were very disappointed and left without finishing. The management of Pine Lakes is not customer friendly.

It was not easy for me as a foreigner to find the Granddaddy Dr. as there is no map available and the street pilot GPS was also lost. Nice girls at the front desk helped me out.

Terrible, they did renovations for two years (please tell me where they did them). Yes, nice club house, but we don't play golf in there. Greens were like putting on the asphalt, bouncing, pot holes. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. Much better courses around.

Played it on opening day this past Saturday. Once this place greens up, it should look spectacular. Played from the middle tees, and it's a really good test with a handful of long par 4's. No. 3 is a real challenge - gotta tank it off the tee. Greens were rolling OK. Fairways are a bit thin and firm now, and the course should play a lot differently once it greens up. Looking forward to going back at that time.
