A good start to the week. The greens were fuzzy and inconsistent by noon. From hole to hole it felt different which made it difficult to get into a rhythm.

Our tee-time was 1147 hrs. We enjoyed the course, BUT, the guys in the pro shop and the guy working the grill were grumpy and not very welcoming.
The starter and his assistant (African-American guy) were very warm and friendly. Another old -timer who loaded the bags was rude when one of our foursome started to load his own bag on the golf cart.
Again, we all enjoyed the course, but the behavior of a few of the employees was what we talked about after the round.

I am not sure why top or over seeding should prevent you from driving your cart on the fairways. As wide as your fairways are, often it was quite a walk to your ball on the other side of the fairway. It also slowed up play, especially when you had to get another club because you had to shape your shot differently.

This course runs through some very nice pine forest - the palm trees planted on the course seem out of place and really do not enhace the course appearnace.

We all found this to be a really fun track. The facility is not as fancy as some of the other places we played, but it has everything we went there for - - a golf course with lots of interesting holes, a good pace of play, and a tasty hot dog promptly served at the turn. We played 27 holes and had a blast.

The course was OK for a $50 course, but not great. I have been golfing at courses in and around Myrtle Beach for years and by far the staff at this course are the rudest I have ever encountered. Apparently this is a theme for this course based on previous reviews. As stated before the course was average, top it off with the ridiculously rude staff I will never play there again, and will ensure my friends and family will not either.

I totally agree with the previous comment from A.E. I have also been golfing at courses in and around Myrtle Beach for more than 15 years and I have never had a bad experience as the one I had at Possum Trot, specially from the people on the course. They were not very welcoming. They probably don't understand how to be nice with people. I will not play that course again.

Played there early July of this year for the first time. The purpose was to play a good warm-up course to start the week. It is wide and playable but the greens and fairways were in fair shape at best. If you compare to other Glens courses, the on-course maintenance and service is far behind. Also the pro shop would need some upgrade.

Not the most glamorous course on the Grand Strand but one of the funniest with the best folks around. Older course that is a lot of fun without all the glitz and glamor they put in many courses these days. So good we played it twice in one day!

It's an OK course. Nothing exceptional. Our group typically plays a 'non-premium' course on our first day as a warm-up. I believe the greens fee w/ cart was close to $60. In my opinion, it should've been $40.

Possum Trot is another course that I played before although it was 15 years ago. Course was in good shape and pace of play was good. I have always enjoyed meeting golfers from other parts of the country. The luck of the draw got me paired with someone who lives only about 25 miles from me here in Mass, so we had a lot in common.

Course was not really in good shape - tees were too wet and spongy (also not flat), fairways had too much water, and greens, though better, had some rather worn spots.

This is a nice course for the money and a great choice for higher handicappers. My wife, who is a beginner, really enjoyed it. I really liked the layout of the holes. The greens were in rough shape and very slow but the rest of the course was in fairly good shape (even with a lot of rain over the previous week or two). The entire staff here was very friendly. We played on Thanksgiving and were given a complimentary turkey sandwich for lunch after the round ... nice touch! If you're looking for a decent, reasonably priced course in MB, I recommend playing here.

This was our second time playing Possum Trot, and we were familiar with the course. The course was very wet due to some rain prior to our arrival and it made for some soggy conditions. We were very disappointed in the condition of the greens; they looked like there was hardly any grass on them. I don't know if they had "lost them" and were in a recovery phase, but it didn't affect our overall experience. It is a fun layout to play, and plenty of opportunities for birdies. The staff was very friendly and courteous; we were even given free range balls!
The only negative thing we could think of was that it cost more to play than MBN does.
