Excellent course for the money. The staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape for the value. The layout is nice in that it is spread out well and has some challenging holes. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a great round for a reasonable price.

Tough course. Great condition. More info other than yardage on course card would have helped. Great experience. I have recommended this course to several people already.

Gorgeous, gorgeous course, enjoyed it very much. Little more difficult than Aberdeen, but all the same, it was truly a pleasure to play that course. Thank you for a wonderful visit and round.

Played April 26th and April 30th.
Extreme wind on the 26th.
A good test of golf with excellent fairways. Tees are good. Greens are not in great shape with some recovering from winter kill and they are somewhat bumpy to putt. Greens are a decent size and hold well from a good shot. Course does not play long from the appropriate tees. There is challenge on some of the par threes and the layout is tight when played in the wind.
Housing makes the course feel somewhat restrictive on some of the par fours. On some of the par fours you can drive a ball through the corners so be aware of the yardages. Staff is friendly.
A very good second tier course that is worth playing.

Played mid-March. Pretty and unique course. Greens were terrible, but I heard they had been treated to help recover from unusually cold winter. Fairways well overseeded, but again - tough winter and not great condition. Staff friendly and helpful.

Course wasn't as nice as it was in recent years. Still nice though. The greens were hard and wouldn't hold a shot at all. Very wet.

Beautiful course. Very scenic and the course was in great shape other than the greens. They had just put a treatment on them so it was like putting on concrete. Lost a head cover and they called to tell me they found it the next day. Very friendly staff.

It rained hard during the round, I'd like to give the course another chance. I wasn't sure how to address the ball in the gravel pit, I didn't want to damage my club but it didn't seem like and unplayable lie. Gravel pits were on several holes.

Back nine is tougher than the front although we started on the back and scored worse on the front. Great course in excellent condition even after a very tough winter.

Very slow play. Told marshall about it but nothing was done. 5 hours and 25 minutes to play 18 holes is far too long at any time of the year. Very poor on course management. He just went thru the motions.

First time playing River Hills. Overall impressions were decent. Very wet due to heavy rain the previous night, cart path only of course. Fairways and greens were average at best. Tough layout, narrow fairways, too many houses for my taste. One of our foursome lost his P.W. We had an afternoon tee time at another course so we had to leave. The outside staff found the club and drove to the afternoon course to drop off the wedge while we were playing! That's great service! I might return but not overly impressed.

Clearly a well-run operation where quality service is the norm. Accomodated my non-playing spouse without flinching. Asked to buy an extra bucket at the end of the round and they offered it at no charge. Would go back to play in a heartbeat (even with the challenging back 9 ! I'll beat it next time)

What a pleasure it was to play River Hills. Not only was the course in excellent condition, it was also panoramic and picturesque. You also needed to be able to shape your shots on a lot of the holes. I would highly recommend this course as a must to play.

I love the layout, condition, and greens. However - the staff was terrible! We had a 7:56 a.m. tee time and they bypassed us and let another four groups go ahead of us! So we asked why and they got the tickets mixed up! Therefore they had us tee off behind another group at Number 10. Needless to say it took us over 5 hours to play a round of golf. The staff did nothing to get that group to speed their play up, nor did that group use proper etiquette and allow us to play through.

GREAT course with a lot of water. Enough sand at strategic positions. A most enjoyable play with the challenge to test a good golfer. Visibly pleasing. Would definitely play again.
