The play on the course was very, very slow. There was a mixed foursome in front of us that showed no courtesy toward players. Also, there was no ranger on the course to help move players along. The fairways were very wet in places as were the tees. The course was green, but apparently the rain had overcome the drainage system on the course. The sand traps were in bad repair as many of them had standing water and the ones that didn't had very hard sand that was almost unplayable. After this trip, I have succumbed to the fact to not play courses in the Grand Strand area unless their price will attract only persons serious about golf and know the rules. Also, the pace of play as mentioned above was dreadfully slow as after we played 12 holes at the 3 hour 30 minute mark, we decided to hang it up for the day.

Sorry to hear it was going to be the last day course was open due to repairs on the tram. No one on the course and I finished in 2 1/2 hrs! Course in great shape. we were always steered away from this course by our golf dept. at the hotel we always stayed in. This year we made our own tee times and boy were we pleased with this layout. The best greens that we played all week!

Consistant greens, excellent fairways very good pace of play. Pro shop was fully functional. The cable car was a unique experience with a great view and a nice way to start the round.

My family and I truly enjoyed our experience at Waterway Hills Golf Club, all the attendants were very nice and helpful. The golf course was in excellent condition. Each hole had a challenge which made our golf experience memorable. I look forward to my return to play the course again to improve my score.

This is one of the best courses I have ever played. The fairways were bright green, the greens were well taken care of, the workers were friendly and the cart girls were very attractive. Only problem I found was the wind :-p. The staff was helpful in getting me together with another group so I didn't play by myself.

This was our first time in Myrtle Beach and our golfing experience here is terrible and I certainly would not recommend my friends. The rates are all over the place and on holidays I dont want to look up, negotiate and search for a price. Make up your mind what the price is stick to it. Your not in the used care business. Disappointed Tourist!

Course is in fair condition but the bunkers have little or not sand in them(not that I was in them alot) If there was some sand it was mixed with rocks. Other than that the course was in good shape. Did not know that children were free so lots of kids and the time of play ended up at 5 1/2 hours way too long. We never would have stayed to complete the entire round if not for the twosome we were matched with great father and son that we completely enjoyed.

I played with my son today and had a wonderful time, the course is challenging but rewards a good shot. I had some worries about the smoky conditions due to the fire in the area; do not concern yourself with that, there is no smoke. Just enjoy yourself as me and my son did, we will be back to do it again.

We enjoyed the tram ride, nice touch. The starter was great, in that we were able to start sooner than we were scheduled (although I think we should have used the driving range first in hindsight). He paired my son and I with another father/son and we shared a great experience.

2 of 3 9 hole courses were open. Ranger inexperienced, but pleasant. Asked three groups to keep up play but never went to front of backup to ask the 1st group out to speed up (cause of delay). Made for slow day, but pleasant nonetheless. Would play again.

Nice old-style layout. Greens were in good shape, but a little slow. Be sure to check the hole layout at each tee (none on card) as ponds and ravines do come into play. SkyCaddie is of little help with these hazards! My wife and I played with another couple. We all agreed we would play the course again.

We played the Ravine course for the second nine. Very challenging hole layouts with tight landing areas and approach shots. The greens were sandy and made putting near impossible. Balls bounced around a lot.

It was neat that a cable car system brings you and your bags over the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway to the clubhouse. The staff was very professional. Par 3's on this course are challenging.

I really enjoyed this course. Most of the holes were real interesting. The ravine kicked my butt. Pin placements on the greens were particularly challenging. On a few occasions, good shots were turned bad due to the rolling slopes of some fairways which was frustrating. All in all, I really enjoyed this course and the round even though it was not my best.

Have played this course before. Enjoy this course. Was not pleased that one person had to cancel due to injury and since the rounds were paid for to the booking agency. I have a rain-check for the round since I was the scheduler. I would have been more than happy to spend the money in the pro shop but was told I could not use the rain-check for merchandise. The money was already there for the course, so I could not understand their reasoning.

I enjoyed the trolley that one must take to get to play at the course. The course condition was very good and I really enjoyed the layout! I would have liked to have gotten a course layout before playing. This is an old course, compared to many others in the MB area it is in fair condition at best. The starter was rude and the club house was dirty and musty smelling. I will not play there again.

I really enjoyed Waterway Hills. It was a great golf course and I will play it every time I get down here. I really enjoyed the tee shot on the "Lakes" right by the waterway ... very picturesque ... I find the course exciting and a really nice place to play.

We were the 2nd group off of the tee and we had people cut in front of our first group on the back nine slowing us way down. The course cycled them in on the 13th hole and I would imagine they moved them due to their pace of play. No one cared and they just shrugged it off. Greens were horrible and inconsistent. Some almost 60% sand and others 10%. This was the last time we will play this course.

Played here on 9/18 in the afternoon after Myrtle Beach National could not get us on for a replay for $27. Good course in fair to good condition, but the greens were a little slow overall. A pleasant track that I would play again, especially for the $27 rate (I don't know if it would be worth the rack rate).
